Every well dug, every classroom filled, every family fed across Africa started with someone here who decided to help. Volunteers organise the events, carry the message into their communities, and open doors we could never open on our own.
There is a place for you in this.

Our field teams are African professionals doing the work in their own communities across 32 countries. What we need here is different, and just as necessary: people willing to bring that work home.

You do not need experience. You need a few hours and a reason. Bring this work to your mosque, your campus, your workplace, your family. Help a fundraiser run well. Tell someone else.
Ways to Volunteer
Host a fundraiser at your mosque or campus
Represent Africa Relief at your workplace
Help spread the word in your community
Every volunteer role serves a different part of the mission, from the visible work of an event to the quiet trust of a community introduction.
Help us run community fundraisers, dinners, and mosque programmes — setup, registration, guest welcome, donor support. This is where most volunteers start, and it is where the work is most visible.
Introduce ARCD to your mosque, Islamic centre, or community organisation. Host a small gathering. Share a campaign with people who trust you. Community trust is something no advertisement can buy.
Run a fundraiser through your MSA. Organise a water well or orphan sponsorship campaign for your student body. We provide the materials, the messaging, and the support, you bring the campus.
Volunteering with us works both ways. We ask for honesty about your time and care for the people we serve, and we commit to the same in return.

Honesty about your time. An hour a month is genuinely useful; so is a full weekend at an event. We would rather you commit to something small and keep it than promise more than your life allows.
Care for the people we serve. Our work is built on dignity. That applies to how we speak about the communities we serve, in public and in private.

A named contact who knows you and responds. Clear instructions before every event, so you are never guessing. Updates on where the money went and what it did. And a letter confirming your service hours if you need one for school, work, or an application.
Tell us a little about yourself and someone from our team will be in touch within a few days.
