More than 1.34 billion people across Africa (over 90% of the continent) live without reliable access to safe water. The consequences reach far beyond thirst: children miss school, women lose hours of their day, and preventable diseases claim thousands of lives each year.
Clean Water is a basic necessity for life. Since 2019, ARCD has constructed over 1,500 water wells across Africa, restoring health and dignity to the continent's most vulnerable rural communities.

Transforming lives through access to essential resources and support.
Delivering clean, safe water to communities in need.
Mobilizing vital resources to maximize community impact.
Across Africa, access to safe water is still out of reach for many communities impacting health, education, and daily life, especially for women and children.

ARCD is a New Jersey nonprofit. We support communities in Sub-Saharan Africa through clean water, healthcare, education, economic empowerment, food security, and orphan care.

ARCD is a New Jersey nonprofit. We support communities in Sub-Saharan Africa through clean water, healthcare, education, economic empowerment, food security, and orphan care.
We go beyond short-term relief creating reliable water systems and sanitation solutions that improve health, restore dignity, and support communities for years to come.

We drill and construct artisanal water wells equipped with manual pumps or solar-powered systems, depending on community need and site conditions. Before any drilling begins, our engineers conduct a full site assessment to ensure the well will access a reliable water table and serve the community for at least 15 years.
Access to water is only part of the solution. Without proper sanitation, waterborne diseases continue to spread. Our sanitation projects construct latrines and handwashing stations, paired with hygiene training campaigns that help communities adopt lasting behavior change. What this includes:
Construction of latrines and handwashing stations
Community hygiene education campaigns
Formation and training of community water and hygiene committees
Ongoing support for facility maintenance and ownership

Support urgent campaigns across the regions we serve.
Your well will serve 200–800 people for 15 or more years. That is thousands of days of clean water. Thousands of mornings returned. A legacy that continues long after the work is done.
